Reality set in, eventually, so I took to the internet to find the best high chairs. There were so many different options to choose from! A variety of prices, styles, and features assaulted me, and I spent a long time reading about different models before I was able to make a decision.

Cosco Simple Fold Deluxe High Chair

I like cute monsters, and so does my son. He’s growing up with Elmo, Oscar, and Cookie Monster. So I like that this chair has a cute little blue monster on it. There is also a second model for girls that features a pink monster with a bow on her head.

I obviously can’t try it for myself, but the plush seat seems comfortable enough. What I do know is that both the seat and the tray are easily wipeable, making it easy to clean up after your little one’s spills and accidents. The tray has three different adjustments and comes with a built-in drink holder. The tray is indented to guard against spills.

The high chair is rated for up to 50 pounds and folds up easily for storage or travel. The chair weighs only 14 pounds, so it isn’t too heavy either. The biggest downside is that you can’t adjust the backseat. It does not have the sturdiest construction either. Still, this is a good quality high chair with a cute design, and it won’t break the bank.

Under $100

Graco TableFit High Chair

The Graco TableFit is another affordable high chair with a lot of useful features. This isn’t the most attractive high chair, but it works well and offers a lot of customization options for your child.One of the best features of this high chair is its eight adjustable height positions.

This helps the chair work in juncture with different table heights, as well as accommodating babies and toddlers of different ages and sizes. The chair folds for easy storage, and the soft seat pad can be either wiped down or cleaned in a washing machine. Three points of recline adjustment and a five-point harness are other convenient features.

The chair is suitable for children up to three years of age, not to exceed 40 pounds. This weight cap is one of the downsides of the TableFit, as many other high chairs can support up to 50 pounds. Still, this is a good high chair, and the many different height adjustments put it a notch above many other budget high chairs.

If you’re looking for a multi-functional high chair that will grow and adjust with your child, the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 is a great option. This model adjusts from a high chair to booster seat and on to a toddler chair. The latter two modes can accommodate two children, making this an ideal option for parents with several children.

The high chair has a nice plush cushion with three different reclining settings and a five-point safety harness. The tray can is removable and dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning and can be adjusted in four different ways to accommodate your growing child.

The legs have locking wheels for improved mobility, and the seat pad is machine-washable for easy cleaning.All in all, this is a nice adjustable baby high chair that is ideal for a variety of family situations.

Best of all, it is affordable, providing a good value at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the high chair has to be assembled out of the box, and it’s not as easy as you would hope.

Fisher-Price Spacesaver High Chair

This compact high chair from Fisher-Price is designed for small homes and apartments where space is an issue. Although compact in size, this nifty high chair has all the features of a larger chair. However, due to its low height, you will probably have to put this high chair on a kitchen chair if you want it to reach the kitchen table.

The high chair has a soft, padded seat that is comfortable for baby. Unlike the Cosco monster seat above, this high chair also has safety straps to keep your baby tucked in while she’s in the chair. The chair has three different reclining settings so you can adjust it to suit your child’s preferences.

The tray has a cup holder to fit your child’s sippy cup. This high chair can also adjust to a toddler booster seat and is suitable for up to 50 pounds.

While this is a good choice for a young family starting out or for those living in smaller living spaces, it’s not really ideal for larger families because it requires a kitchen chair to boost it to table level. If you have older kids using your kitchen chairs and can’t spare a chair for a high chair, you should go with another option.

Under $150

JOOVY Nook High Chair

The JOOVY Nook is another fine chair that includes all the adjustment options you would expect from a high chair.

This lightweight chair is just over 15 pounds and features a swing-open tray that is removable and can also be adjusted in four different ways. The machine-washable seat is made of a comfortable, deluxe faux-leather, and the high chair is designed to fold over for easy storage.

Aside from the improvements to the quality of the seat cushion, there’s nothing remarkably different that separates this high chair from others. However, it is durably made with quality materials, and it performs beyond expectations, and that is all one should hope for in a high chair.

HM-tech Baby High Chair

The HM-tech Baby High Chair is a step up from the budget high chairs, and it shows. For one thing, the frame is more solid and durable, the legs are made of natural beech, and high chair adjustments are easier to configure. Like most good high chairs, the tray can be removed for easy access and cleaning. 

The tray is dishwasher safe, and the cushion is machine washable for serious accidents and messes, while easily wiping down for less serious spills. The chair has four different height adjustments and reclines in three different ways, and features large buttons to make changes easy. 

The chair doesn’t have wheels, so you’ll have to move it from one room to another. Luckily, it’s extremely lightweight so you’ll be able to carry it all by yourself. All of these things add up to a nice, comfortable high chair.

While many features, such as removable tray and five-point safety harness are standard features in most high chairs, the wooden legs and easy assembly help to set this high chair apart from less expensive models.

Under $200

Graco Table2Table Premier Fold 7 in 1 Convertible High Chair

Unlike the previous chair I reviewed, the Graco Table2Table high chair is a full-size high chair and not just a booster seat. What stands out about this chair is not just the colorful seat pad your kid will love, but the fun little rainforest toy to entertain your child so he doesn’t wait impatiently for breakfast to be ready. 

The chair has an extremely long tray that enables your baby to have a wider surface to eat on and you to help you assist him while he eats. My son really liked this, and he was less fussy while waiting for his meals, so it is definitely good. In other respects, this is very much like other high chairs. 

The chair can convert into seven different chairs and has five adjustments. It comes with a special cushion for newborns that can be removed, so this can be used even for younger babies who cannot sit unsupported. The straps, seat, and tray can all be removed for easy cleaning as well.

This isn’t really any different from other high chairs I’ve reviewed. The only difference is the seven conversions, but in my opinion, it’s the feature worth the higher cost.

Abiie Beyond Wooden High Chair with Tray

If you’re looking for a deluxe high chair your child will never outgrow, consider Abiie Beyond. Not only is this chair beautifully constructed using sustainable European beech, but the chair can also be transformed into a grown-up chair, safely supporting up to 250 pounds of weight.

In addition to its durability and long life, there are a number of other reasons to recommend this high chair. Its wood construction makes it an exceptionally good looking high baby chair. The harness can be adjusted to either three- or five-point, providing the right amount of protection for your growing child.

The cushions are stain-resistant and waterproof, making it easy to clean and less likely to absorb accidental spills.

There’s a lot to like about this high chair. My only area of complaint is that the seat, although waterproof, is not the most comfortable material. Still, this is a fine high chair. While it doesn’t make the most attractive adult chair in the world, it’s fully functional, making this an exceptional value.

Under $300

If you’re tired of the ordinary and want a high chair that stands out from your friends, this one has the flair you’re looking for. This striking chair features a gray pedestal base, white chair, and orange cushion. Urethane casters on the base protect your floor from damage. The seat pad and tray liner are removable and easily washed, with the tray liner being dishwasher safe.

A bright orange button at the base makes it easy to adjust the height however you prefer it, and also provides a handy brake when you’re moving the high chair.

Like the cushion from Abiie Beyond, this one isn’t particularly soft or plush, but if that doesn’t bother you and you have the money to spend, this is an awesome high chair with a bright, striking design you’re sure to remember.

4Moms is known for producing a variety of quality baby products, and their high chair is no exception. As you might expect from a high-quality chair, there are some exciting features not found in any standard high chair.

One of these features is the magnetic tray attachment with a magnetic top that works with compatible dishes and glasses to magnetically seal your baby’s dishes to their eating tray.

While you’ll easily be able to remove the dishes when the baby is finished, this tray works to minimize accidental spills and messes by securing the dishes to the tray.

This high chair isn’t for everyone. It’s not cheap, and finding compatible dishes will cost you even more money. But for those who can afford it, this is definitely a high chair worth talking about.

Conclusion

There are a lot of different options out there, and none of them are right for everyone. My personal favorite was the HM-tech Baby High Chair because of the clean design and weight, but objectively it’s not the best high chair out there.
